A few words about copyright and intellectual property…. I have no wish to trample over people’s rights to their labour, and so will attempt to stay within the standard legal guidelines governing fair use and copyright expiration (at least for where I live, which is Canada). For example, a number of works concerning Sherlock Holmes –including most, if not all, of the Canon– can now be shared freely, depending on your country of residence. Lisewise, any radio shows created before 1978 in the U.S. are widely considered to be in the public domain. In addition, many Holmes films, such as those starring Arthur Wontner and Clive Owen, and four of the Rathbone/Bruce films, may be freely downloaded, copied and/or shared.

CARD - He examined them minutely.

If you believe that I am using copyrighted material in ways which do not constitute legal “fair use,” please contact me and let me know the reasons. I am not a lawyer, have no extensive experience in such matters, and am wading through complexities compounded by endless international variants on intellectual property laws. All materials are therefore offered under the principles of good faith, and are (hopefully) infringing no copyright.
